About Us

Tom Namey is the owner and physical therapist of Rainier Physical Therapy. He has received his Master’s Degree from the University of Pittsburgh. While in graduate school he met his future wife, Christine, who is also a physical therapist. He moved shortly after graduating school to the Seattle, WA area, hence the name Rainier Physical Therapy. The pull of Pittsburgh has brought his family back to the area, and he is excited to take his experience of treating patients on both sides of the United States and apply it to this new endeavor. Cranberry Township is a great area that is growing in population and medical needs. Tom acts as an educator and trainer to help his patients understand and resolve their condition. Also on most days of the week you can visit with the clinic dog Oso, who is more than happy to let you give him a pet on the head.

Our philosophy is to treat the body as a whole instead of just the injured part. Many of the conditions we treat are due to a deficiency somewhere else in our musculoskeletal system. This can lead to compensation and injury (pain, weakness, swelling, etc.) at the tissue site, and to only address this injured site may not solve an issue long term.  We provide research-driven treatment in a clean, modern facility. Through the combination of a relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff, our aim is to assist the patient to reach their functional goals.
